Rural Valley is a borough located in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is situated in the western part of the state, approximately 50 miles northeast of Pittsburgh. According to the 2010 Census, the population of Rural Valley was 876.
The borough is spread over an area of 0.3 square miles and is characterized by a rural landscape with rolling hills and farmland. The Allegheny River flows nearby, providing opportunities for boating, fishing, and other recreational activities.
Rural Valley is primarily a residential community, with a few small businesses and industries scattered throughout the borough. It is served by the Armstrong School District, which operates one elementary school and one middle/high school.
